POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking a dedicated Clinical Therapist to provide individual and group therapy services as part of our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP). This role is critical in guiding clients through their recovery journey, ensuring treatment plans align with their unique needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in chemical dependency treatment and a passion for making a meaningful impact.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct individual and group therapy sessions, incorporating family interventions as needed.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation in compliance with HIPAA and Turning Point policies.
  • Collaborate with the treatment team to ensure continuity of care.
  • Provide crisis intervention and risk assessments as necessary.
  • Facilitate discharge planning, connecting clients to continued care and support services.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Active licensure in New Mexico as LSAA, LADAC, LMHC, LPCC, LMFT, LMSW, LCSW, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a chemical dependency treatment or related behavioral health setting.
  • If in personal recovery, a minimum of three (3) years of continuous sobriety.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s degree in behavioral health, counseling, social work, or a related field.
  • Experience with evidence-based treatment modalities, such as CBT, DBT, or Motivational Interviewing.
  • Familiarity with Medicaid, private insurance billing, and treatment authorization processes.

WORK ENVIRONMENT & SCHEDULE:

  • Primarily office-based with occasional travel as needed.
  • May require some evening or weekend availability based on client needs.
